About Zen Planner

Zen Planner is gym, martial arts and studio management software. It is owned by Daxko, which acquired it in 2017. Its Terms of Use and Daxko's master service agreement were not readable when we checked, so the contract terms below are limited to what Zen Planner says on its pricing page and in its help articles.

Contract, data and payments

Contract term

TimetableOS

No long-term contract. A paid plan renews for the period you have paid for, and you can cancel any time from your account settings. It ends when that paid period ends.

Zen Planner

Zen Planner's pricing page says it runs month to month, with an annual contract available on request. We could not read its Terms of Use to confirm notice or renewal terms.
“Zen Planner runs month-to-month, so you’re never locked into a long-term commitment. If you’d prefer an annual contract, it is available on request.”

Notice to leave

TimetableOS

No notice period to leave beyond the period you have paid for. We give at least 30 days' notice before we change fees.

Zen Planner

Not confirmed from public pages. Ask for it in writing before you sign.

Cost of leaving early

TimetableOS

Our Terms contain no early termination fee. You pay for the period you have paid for, and it ends there.

How you cancel

TimetableOS

Cancel from your account settings, or by writing to us.

Zen Planner

In the product, the Cancel Account button leads to information on the cancellation process, rather than cancelling straight away.
“Click Cancel Account to view information on the cancellation process.”

Getting your data out

TimetableOS

Export your members, memberships, invoices, bookings, check-ins, sales and leads as a ZIP of CSV files whenever you like while your account is open. Do it before you close the account: we keep data for a limited period after that, then delete it.

Not confirmed from public pages. Ask for it in writing before you sign.

Who owns the data

TimetableOS

You own the data you put in. Our Terms say so.

Payments

TimetableOS

Member payments go through your studio's own payment account. We do not hold your funds.

Zen Planner

Zen Planner works with preferred payment processors including its in-house provider. It says some integrated processors have no setup or gateway fee, and to check with its team for current pricing.

Setup and extra fees

TimetableOS

The fees shown to you when you sign up, or agreed with us in writing. We give at least 30 days' notice before we change fees.

Zen Planner

Zen Planner says onboarding sessions are free. Its pricing page lists a branded mobile app, card readers and a website as paid extras.

Where Zen Planner may suit you better

Moving over from Zen Planner

  1. Export

    Take your data out

Ask your current provider for a member and payment history export while your account is still open. Many providers remove access when you cancel.

  2. Import

    Bring it in

Use the import centre to load members, memberships, the timetable, products, gift cards, leads, payment history and attendance. Check a batch, and undo it if it is wrong.

  3. Go live

    Switch when you are ready

Run both side by side while you check the numbers. Set up your plans, classes and payments, then move your members across.

Questions

Is Zen Planner month to month?

Its pricing page says it runs month to month and that an annual contract is available on request. We could not read its Terms of Use, so we cannot confirm what the binding terms say about notice or renewal. Ask for them in writing.

Can I move my members from Zen Planner to us?

Yes. Export your members, memberships and payment history from Zen Planner while your account is still open, then load them with the import centre. A batch can be checked and undone, so you can try it before you commit.

Do I own my data with us?

Yes. Our Terms say you own the data you put into the service. You can export it as CSV files whenever you like while your account is open. Export before you close the account, because we keep data for a limited period after that and then delete it.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. A paid plan renews for the period you have paid for and you can cancel any time from your account settings. It ends when that paid period ends. Our Terms contain no early termination fee, and we give at least 30 days' notice before changing fees.
